First of all, Malta is a destination for those, who prefer various beach activities. The most popular Malta beach, Mellieha Bay, is located near a large village in the northwestern part of Malta. Country's most established beach and holiday resorts are Bugibba, Qawra, St. Paul's Bay. Golden Bay, Għajn Tuffieha and Paradise Bay are located northwards. Both locals and tourists enjoy various kinds of water sports, such as paragliding, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing and scuba diving. Scuba diving and harbour cruising can be done at Blue Lagoon in Comino and Mgarr Ix-Xini cove in Gozo. The equipment for water sports can be rent at almost every major sandy beach of the islands.
